Court mounting is when the ribbon is wrapped around a stiff backing board, with the medals and suspending portion of the ribbon fixed in place to prevent movement. The medals are sewn down through the backing board.

Court mounting is the current standard and most common style of mounting medals. It also the prescribed method that must be used within the ADF.

I use a stiff backing board of hardened acrylic 3mm in depth that is CNC cut to the exact measurements required. This ensures your awards will continue to look perfect in rain, hail or shine. I simply will not use cheaper methods such buckram or cardboard that will degrade over time or when exposed to moisture.
