Saving your Medals

Over time medals will tarnish, ribbon will degrade and fray, and the overall condition of a medal group will deteriorate. Byrne's restoration service will restore your medals to be looking as brilliant as the day they were awarded. Starting with an ultrasonic clean to remove heavy contaminants then an extremely delicate hand clean. If you wish so, your medals can also be polished. This will remove the patina from the medal however this is a personal preference. Restored medals are treated with an Australian made lacquer if you desire to stop tarnishing and protect the medals. Following the restoration of the medals, the mounting method of your choice is used to complete the restoration/remounting. Finished using brand new Ribbon from Toye Kenning and Spencer, made in England.
